Harley-Davidson CEO to speak at EDAWN lunch

Jeffrey Bleustein, the chairman and chief executive officer of Harley-Davidson Inc.,will speak at the fourth annual luncheon of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada.

The luncheon is at 11 a.m.March 15, at the Reno Hilton.

Bleustein will share insights from his more than 30 years with the company, including innovations such as the belt drive and total redesign of Harley's V-Twin engine.

He also led the repositioning of Harley- Davidson dealerships as retail stores.

Bleustein has served in various capacities at Harley-Davidson including president and chief operating officer, executive vice president, vice president of parts and accessories and vice president of engineering.

He was named to his current position as chairman and CEO in 1998.

During the luncheon, EDAWN also will present its Chairmen's "Business of the Year" awards recognizing one large company and one small company for doing business in northern Nevada.

Tickets are $65 per person or $650 for a table of ten.
