Whirwind Mortgage Inc, a residential and commercial lending company, opened an office on Smithridge Drive in Reno.
Owner Kristin Krajewski says within a year she plans to double the staff of six and open a Las Vegas branch.
She was formerly a loan officer at Heath Financial Services in Reno.
