New training program targets experienced entrepreneurs

The Nevada Small Business Development Center has established a new training program for the established entrepreneur, The Entrepreneur CEO Program - Accelerating Small Business Growth.

The E-CEO Program is a 12-topic course running Feb.

17 through May 5.

This program, limited to 25 entrepreneurs, is designed to bring practical concepts to growing businesses and to help entrepreneurs run their business like CEOs.

The E-CEO Program is intended for company founders/owners, who have more than five employees and have been in business at least three years.

Among the topics to be covered are business valuation; balanced scorecard development; wealth preservation and succession planning; strategic marketing strategies and best practices; sales process development and strategic planning.

Class sessions will run from 5:45 - 9 p.m on the UNR Campus,William Raggio Bldg., room 1003.

The course fee is $995.
