Advisory board meeting in Carson City on Jan. 31

The Governor's Advisory Board on Natural Resources will meet in Carson City on Jan. 31.

That all-day meeting will be held in conference room No. 217 of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources at 123 W. Nye Lane.

The advisory board will begin its meeting at 10 a.m.

Board members are Don Quilici (Vice Chairman) of Carson City, Barbara Curti of Reno, Randall Capurro of Las Vegas, Russ Fields of Reno, Mike Pavlakis of Carson City, and John Venarecci of Douglas County.

Board Chairman Dennis Selleck of Las Vegas died several months ago.

Included on the board's agenda are:

Election of a chairman.

A report by the Director of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources on issues and activities involving the department.

Agencies reports by various division administrators and program managers of the department, including: Conservation Districts, Environmental Protection, Forestry, State Lands, State Parks, Water Resources, Heritage Program and the Wild Horse Program.

An overview of PATHWAY 2007.

A report on Question NO. 1: The Natural Resource Protection and Enhancement Act of Nevada.

Land and water conservation fund projects.
