A memorial service for Dorothy Ann Housman, 73, a Carson City resident for the past 17 years, will be from 1-2:30 p.m. March 5 at the Carson Valley Inn Chapel in Minden.
Mrs. Housman died Jan. 21, 2005, at home.
She was born Feb. 9, 1931, in White Plains, N.Y., to Leonard and Margaret Nichols Wood.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in San Jose, Calif.
She worked as a secretary. She was a Christian.
Among her survivors are her husband, Bennett Jr., and daughter Kim Elleen Housman, both of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Wendy Housman-Sharpless and Michael Edward Sharpless of Temecula, Calif.; son, Mark Bennett of Maui, Hawaii; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Larry Kanter of Stuart, Fla.; nephew, Gary Kanter of Gainsville, Fla.; and grandchildren Katherine Ann Sharpless and Kellie Noelle Sharpless of Temecula.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Foundation.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
