Reno/Tahoe International Airport last year topped the 5 million passenger mark for the first time since 2000.
The passenger count of 5.09 million for the year marked an 11.1 percent increase over the previous year.
Cargo shipments through the airport during December rose 13.3 percent over the same month a year earlier and set a single-month record.
For the year, cargo handled by the airport totaled 106.1 million pounds a 2.1 percent increase over 2003.
