Felicia O'Carroll, a partner in the certified public accounting firm of Kafoury,Armstrong & Co., has been selected by the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants to receive its 2004 Public Service Award.
O'Carroll's community service includes serving as the treasurer for Health Access Washoe County, vice chairman of finance with the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation, treasurer for the Nevada Women's Fund and chairman of the oversight committee of the Sanford Center for the Aging.
She has been with Kafoury Armstrong since 1976 and was the first woman in the firm elected to shareholder status.
She practices primarily in the areas of governmental auditing, not-forprofit auditing and individual income taxation.
O'Carroll earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Reno with an emphasis in accounting.
She also holds a master's degree in taxation from Golden Gate University.
