Manufacturer of slots set to launch operations in Reno

AC Coin and Slot has begun hiring staff for a new manufacturing operation in Reno.

The company, based at Pleasantville, N.J., said it expects to hire 25 to 30 production workers for the new facility at 4795 Longley Lane.

The 60,000-square-foot plant is expected to open August 1.

It will be overseen by Jim Lipp,AC Coin's director of operations, who will move from the company's New Jersey headquarters.

AC Coin is the exclusive distributor in New Jersey and the Caribbean for Reno-based International Game Technology and also markets its own line of slots.

Its slot products include machines carrying the themes of "The Honeymooners," "Bewitched," and Popcorn Slotto.

Other divisions of AC Coin and Slot manufacture signage, seating and millwork for casinos.

The space leased by AC Coin in Reno is owned by DP Industrial LLC.

Gary Baker, president of Lee & Associates - Reno, negotiated the lease.He said the long-term lease is valued at $1.3 million.
