Retail guru joins Colliers "rebuilding retail sales team

"It happened very fast," says Roxanne Stevenson, a long-time Reno retail real estate broker.

Colliers International swooped up the retail market guru and made her the senior vice president of its Reno retail division.

She heads Colliers' efforts to rebuild its retail team.

Stevenson says announcements of additional agents on her team are forthcoming.

Colliers, which recently saw the exodus of several of its agents in Reno, is rebuilding the overall office.

Stevenson, previously a partner in Grubb & Ellis, an office she co-founded in 1995, has 25-plus years in retail,most of them in the Truckee Meadows region.Moving to Colliers was "a great opportunity," she says.

And on the Colliers side,Managing Partner Barry Brown lauds her extensive experience and longstanding presence in the Reno market assets that drove the firm to actively recruit her.

Stevenson has worked with such clients as Real Estate Affiliates, Sierra Pacific Properties, DP Partners, Pac Trust, Capital Pacific, Smith's Food & Drug, Safeway,Wendy's, Panda Express,Walgreen's, The Good Guys, K-Mart, Les Schwab Tires and Shell Oil Company.

She attended the University of Nevada, Reno and received her Certified Center Manager designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

She served as the northern Nevada operations director of ICSC for more than nine years and is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Nevada, Reno.

She serves on the Advisory Board for the Small Business Development Agency and is also a member of Commercial Women in Real Estate and the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada.
