An accident Saturday morning claimed the life of one person and left a second victim in the hospital with serious injuries, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Sgt. Al Alessandra said Donald Robert Becker, 39, of Gardnerville died in the 8:35 a.m. head-on collision about 2 miles from the bottom of State Route 207.
Alessandra said Becker was eastbound on Kingsbury Grade in his Subaru Forester when for unknown reasons he crossed the center line into the path of a Dodge pickup driven by 32-year-old Frank Eugene Dollar of Gardnerville.
Dollar was taken by Care Flight to Washoe Medical Center. His condition was unavailable at press time.
The accident is under investigation.
