Perch Derby results for Wildhorse

The annual, two-day, perch, ice fishing derby was held at Wildhorse Reservoir last weekend.

Derby winners were:

Saturday (Longest):

First: Dennis Quinn of Midas (12 7/8 inches)

Second: John Shorter (11 7/8 inches).

Third: Lenny Kakick (10.5 inches).

Sunday (Longest):

First: Paul Gabidon of Winnemucca (12 7/8 inches).

Second: Joe Smith (11 inches).

Third: Laura Jensen (10 3/8 inches).

There were more than 50 fishermen entered in the derby. The ice is still 2-feet thick and the temperature is below zero every night.
