Jean Carlton Olson, 79, a Minden resident for the past 17 years, died March 3, 2005, at her home. She was born Aug. 30, 1925, in Jamestown, N.Y., to John and Eliza Hartford Carlton.
She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1945.
She married Wally Olson on Feb. 14, 1948, in Jamestown.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in San Jose, Calif.
Mrs. Olson worked at the Jamestown Worsted Mills and at Baker and Hamilton in San Francisco. She attended Kidder Memorial United Bretheren Church in Jamestown.
Among her survivors are her husband of Minden; daughter and son-in-law Vicki and George Walker of Gardnerville; daughters Marsha Reihl of Tracy, Calif., and Becky McGee of Sparks; sister, Elsie Carlton Swanson of Citrus Heights, Calif., and grandchildren Joshua and Jared Walker, Corey and Danielle Reihl, Jessica and Jake McGee and Tracy Perez and Jason Walker.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
