John Howard Park, 93, a Gardnerville resident for the past five months, died March 2, 2005, in Gardnerville. He was born July 2, 1911, in Oakland, Calif., to Charles A. and Francis L. Fitch Park.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Placerville, Calif.
Mr. Park worked as a truck driver, delivering milk and linen. He retired in 1974.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pollock Pines, Calif., and the Gold Country Baptist Church in California.
He served in the U.S. Navy for two years as an aviation machinist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, on March 20, 1990.
Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Norm and Brenda Park of Gardnerville, and grandchildren Darrell, Mitchell, Rebecca, Sharon and Eric.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. Inurnment will be at Westwood Hills Memorial Park in Placerville.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
