Woman arrested in connection with alleged outlaw biker gang

FERNLEY - A Fernley woman was arrested on drug charges Thursday in connection with an ongoing investigation by the Lyon County Sheriff's Department into an alleged outlaw motorcycle gang.

Kerri Cruz, 34, was booked into the Lyon County Jail on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of illegal prescription drugs, unlawful use of methamphetamine, maintaining a residence for the purpose of, use and sale of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor Fernley warrant. Her bail was set at $14,248.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Cruz was arrested at her home in the 1300 block of Bart Way after she was spotted as an affiliate of the Branded Few motorcycle club, a group under surveillance by law enforcement since April 2004.

Cruz was the second arrest from the surveillance.

In February, Steven Allen Hart, 54, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a residence for the purpose of use or sale of methamphetamine, ex-felon in possession of a firearm and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Hart was arrested at his home on Diamond Way, the alleged clubhouse for the Desert Chapter of the Branded Few.

He will appear in Fernley Justice Court for a hearing Tuesday.
