A memorial service for Johanna Hupe, 80, a Gardnerville resident for the past 15 years, will be at 10 a.m. April 1 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Spruce and Deseret Drive, in Minden.
Mrs. Hupe died March 18, 2005, in Gardnerville. She was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Germany, to Walter and Frieda Welker.
She married Robert F. Hupe.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in De Kalb County, Ill.
Mrs. Hupe was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and crafting.
Among her survivors are her husband of 55 years; son, Walter R. of Peoria, Ill.; daughter, Rita Cwalina of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
