A memorial service for Wayne A. Lyons, 70, a Gardnerville resident for the past 20 years, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Community Center at Topaz Ranch Park Estates.
Mr. Lyons died March 19, 2005, at Topaz Lake.
He was born Feb. 17, 1935, in Whiting, Iowa, to John and Helen Pardee Lyons.
Mr. Lyons worked at Bently Nevada for many years. After his retirement, he spent most of his time fishing at Topaz Lake.
He served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Among his survivors are his wife, Barbara of Gardnerville; sons Charles of Reno and Paul of Gardnerville; daughters Sherrie Ashurst of Markleeville and Helen Holguin of Downing, Calif., two brothers; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
