Commerce officials specify PC-Doctor software

PC-Doctor Inc., a Reno-based developer of hardware diagnostic and system information tools, said last week that the U.S.

Department of Commerce has specified the use of its diagnostic software in desktop personal computers purchased from Gateway Inc.

The order covers about 200 units.

The company's sales pitch: Installation of its software on personal computers reduces the cost of unnecessary warranty returns and service calls.
