Try out our new online calendar

If you look down the front page of the website a little bit, you will see our new events calendar.

We launched it on Friday, thanks to the hard work of Community Editor Rhonda Costa-Landers, who had the tough task of entering all of the events into the new system.

We hope this helps our readers in a number of ways. For one, this calendar contains far more events than we can fit in the print edition, due to the limitless space we have online. As we add more events, it will look out a year or more ahead a of time.

Another great feature is that people can sumbit their events via the online form page. We hope this will get more community organizations to send us their event information. If you know of events that aren't listed, please give this page a try.

The calendar will also contain events from the entire Tahoe-Reno-Carson-Fallon area, as the other newspapers in our group launch their versions.

Our goal is to have the most complete calendar in the region, listing every event that takes place. We would be happy to hear from you on what you think about this feature.
