Jerry Lee Davis

A celebration of life for Jerry Lee Davis, 58, of Carson City will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Chapel, 1744 Forrest Way, Carson City. A barbecue potluck will follow the service. Attire requested is pocket T-shirts and jeans.

Mr. Davis died May 20, 2005, in Reno. He was born Dec. 28, 1946, in Dell, Ark., to William Mays Dollard and Roxy Lee Frankum Davis.

He married Celia on March 19, 1986, in Carson City.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Walnut Creek, Calif.

He majored in culinary arts at Boston College.

Mr. Davis was a pressman. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Martha Foreman in Pittsburgh, Calif.; and brother, Howard Yelverton in Red Bluff, Calif.

Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; children Mike of Carson City and Kim of Texas; sister Jean "Billie" Baker; two grandchildren; and many extended-family members.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
