Wood Rodgers and Matrix merge

Wood Rodgers, Inc., and Matrix Engineering of Reno merged this month.

Matrix Engineering will continue to provide land development engineering services, augmenting Wood Rodgers, Inc.'s land planning, civil engineering, survey and mapping, geotechnical and environmental services in the Reno office.

Wood Rodgers' staff in Reno now numbers more than 100.

Rich Wood, president and chief executive officer of Wood Rogers, said the merger is part of a trend toward creation of one-stop design engineering firms.

Founded in 1997 by Wood and Mark Rodgers,Wood Rodgers, Inc.

has a staff of 300, including offices in Reno, Las Vegas, Sacramento, San Francisco, Oakland, Modesto and Salinas.

Privately held, it's based in Sacramento.
