Irene E Claiborne

Irene E. Claiborne, 82, a resident of Carson City since 1983, died Nov. 25, 2005.

A visitation with prayers will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walton's Funeral Chapel in Carson City. A graveside service will follow at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Claiborne was born Sept. 26, 1923, to Cyril and Elizabeth Van Ryckeghem in Ingelmunster, Belgium.

She married Will H. Claiborne.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Desert Hot Springs, Calif.

She was a Baptist and gourmet cook. She enjoyed taking care of her family and home and had a fantastic sense of humor.

Her survivors include her husband of 60 years, Will H. of Carson City; and niece and her husband, Dorothy and Carl Yeager.

Burial will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
