Hazen Investment Company LLC is purchasing 118 acres near Hazen in Churchill County, says Dr.
Jake Huber, general manager, a member of the limited-liability corporation along with Charles Dornbach, Gary Hill, Malcolm Hill and Mike Little.
The company holds a special use permit from Churchill County to operate a fly ash storage facility on 18 acres of the property, says Huber, adding that the company currently has no plans for the remaining 100 acres.
The fly ash will be stored in silos, which were trucked in from a construction site in Escandito, Calif.
The facility will go into operation in February, and will employ four to six people.
