William S. 'Bill' Cronk

A memorial for William S. "Bill" Cronk, 59, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. Burial with military honors will follow at Lone Mountain Cemetery at 11 a.m.

Mr. Cronk died Oct. 7, 2005, at home. He was born May 29, 1946, in Liberty, N.Y. to Vincent Cronk and Bernice Wucherpfennig.

Prior to living in Carson City, he lived in California and Alaska. He was a contractor.

Mr. Cronk served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post 9211 in Reno and a retired member of Carpenter Union Local 971.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachelle Krietz.

Among his survivors are his wife, Adela of Carson City; sons William S. Cronk II and Scott Cronk; step-daughter and her husband, Sonya and Jim Vasquez; son-in-law, Cliff Krietz; parents Vincent and Bernice Cronk of Reno; brother Dennis Cronk of Alaska; and step-grandchildren Maya and Chloe Vasquez and Tony and Shana Sanfilippo.

Cremation was under the direction of FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
