JC Roberts, 77, a Gardnerville resident for the past 14 years, died Oct. 6, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1927, in Connor, Ark., to Jay P. and Sue Mae Sisco Roberts.
He married Wanda Roberts on June 20, 1947, in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Roberts was a retired engineer from the city of San Jose, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army in 1946. He belonged to the Carson City American Legion and was a volunteer driver for the Veterans Administration.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Virginia.
Among his survivors are his wife of 58 years, Wanda of Gardnerville; daughter and son-in-law Sheila and Robert Arias of Soquel, Calif.; daughter Rene Maus of Campbell, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Donations may be made to the Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
