Game group teaches financial skills

Come retirement age, not all artists plan to starve in a garret.

Graphic artist Kelly Smith bought the $200 board game Cashflow 101 and organized a gaming group, a networking service offered at the financial advice Web site Rich Dad.

Each week, a club member gives a 10- minute talk on some aspect of finance, then members play the game for about two hours, says Smith.

The game's creator calls it an innovative educational game designed to make the subject of accounting, investments and finance fun.

It teaches financial intelligence how to understand the game of money and investing.

Rich Dad Cashflow Club meets the third Tuesday of the month From 6 to 8:30 p.m.

at Round Table Pizza on North McCarran Boulevard at Prater Way in Sparks.

All are welcome.

For more information, call Smith at 626-1728.
