COMMEMORATIVE COIN FEATURES THE WILD WEST

A limited-edition commemorative coin for Nevada Day 2005 is available. Selling for $15 each, the coin features this year's parade theme, The Wild West, depicted on one side by a cowboy and horse, a locomotive, playing cards and the state outline, and the Nevada Day logo on the other. Only 500 coins are available for purchase. This is the second year for the issuance of a souvenir coin commemorating the celebration of the day Nevada became a state. Proceeds will go into parade production costs. Coins will be sold the day of the parade along the route at three locations: the Nevada Department of Tourism by the announcer's booth, Third Street and the Nevada State Museum. Coins can also be ordered from www.nevadaday.com or by sending a check or money order to Nevada Day Inc., P.O. Box 999, Carson City, NV, 89702-0999.
