1864 Governor's Ball, 7:30 -11:30 p.m., Piper's Opera House, Corner of B and Union streets in Virginia City. Celebrate Nevada Day and relive 1864 with music, dancing and plenty of camaraderie. A light Victorian buffet will be served. Victorian dress is not required but is encouraged. All proceeds benefit the restoration of historic Piper's Opera House. Events at Silver Oak Golf Course: 1-4 p.m., authentic Basque Buffet featuring chorizo, lamb, sirloin, tongue stew and picon punches. Tickets are $25 if purchased on Friday and $35 when purchased Saturday.
