SBDC to provide redevelopment help

The Reno City Council decided last to spend $50,000 with the Nevada Small Business Development Center to help the city's redevelopment efforts.

The Small Business Development Center will provide 40 hours a month of free, confidential, one-on-one counseling to small businesses, particularly those referred by the Redevelopment Agency.

The counseling and technical assistance will be provided at the offices of the Redevelopment Agency in city hall.

In addition, the Small Business Development Center will conduct at least two seminars and workshops a month at the Redevelopment Agency and will assist with the promotion of The Catalyst, which is the economic development financing system approved by the Redevelopment Board.
