Jake Palazzolo, 90, a 19-year Carson City resident, died Aug. 31, 2005, in Carson City.
He was born June 8, 1915, in Johnson City, Ill., to Salvator and Rose Palazzolo.
He married Rita Palazzolo on Sept. 23, 1934, in Chicago.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in West Covina, Calif.
Mr. Palazzolo was self-employed in the wholesale meat industry. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge for more than 50 years and a member of the Carson City Sertoma Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling.
Among his survivors are his wife of nearly 71 years of Carson City; sons and daughters-in-law Sam and Carol, Anthony and Kathy and Robin and Sharon, all of Carson City; grandchildren Rayna Wortman, Dr. Stephen Palazzolo, Michael Palazzolo and Kristen Wilson and eight great-grandchildren.
