Dennis Claude Mayberry

A memorial service for Dennis Claude Mayberry, 63, a Gardnerville resident for the past 22 years, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Minden Park on Esmeralda Street.

Mr. Mayberry died Sept. 12, 2005, at his home. He was born Dec. 9, 1941, in Arbuckle, Calif., to Clark and Eileen DeBolt Mayberry.

Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Los Angeles.

Mr. Mayberry retired as a Los Angeles Police Department Motor Officer.

He was a member of the Minden-Douglas Elks Lodge 2670, the National Rifle Association and Municipal Motorcycle Officers of California.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-62.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Among his survivors are his companion, Sheri Ryan, of Gardnerville; daughter, Denise Lynn Mayberry Anderson; son, Michael Douglas; brother, Douglas Clark; six grandchildren and four nieces.

Cremation will be in FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
