Margaret Elizabeth Brower, 87, a Carson City resident, died Sept. 22, 2005.
She was born March 29, 1918, in Ponca, Neb., to Lloyd and Lillian Lynde.
She married Forrest Brower in 1942 in Grand Island, Neb.
Mrs. Brower was active in the Carson-Tahoe Hospital Auxiliary, the Sierra Intermountain Emergency Radio Association where her call sign was KC7GEE and the PEOs.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed working in the garden.
Among her survivors are brother Glyndon Lynde; daughters Lizbeth "Beth" Brower of Carson City and Mary and husband Steve Abelow of Lake Tahoe; sons Richard "Rick" and wife, Ursula, of South Lake Tahoe and Roger and wife, Sally, of Santa Paula, Calif.; close friend Bruce Pfeiffer of Carson City; four granddaughters; one stepgrandson and one stepgranddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to the American Red Cross for hurricanes Katrina or Rita.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
