Granite Construction Co. of Sparks has started work on a contract that's part of the expansion of the Sierra Pacific Power Co. generating plant at Tracy.
Granite will complete earthwork and pour nearly 275 foundations at the job. Granite's project manager is Chris Burke and its project superintendent is Joe Dines.
