Larry O'Brien, president and chief executive officer of Saint Mary's, last week announced his plans to retire.
O'Brien, who has worked at Saint Mary's since January 2005, said he will remain at Saint Mary's until its pending affiliation agreement with Catholic Healthcare West is completed and a new administrator is on board.
He said his decision to retire was entirely personal.
