Medical office development planned at Spanish Springs

Northern Nevada Medical Center will launch a diagnostic center in a medical office complex to be developed at the southeast corner of Los Altos Parkway and Ion Drive in Spanish Springs.

The complex is envisioned to include three buildings, each of them 20,000 square feet, on a 5.6-acre site.

Along with NNMC's diagnostic center, early tenants include Silver State Family Physicians, which includes two family practitioners, Dr. Elizabeth Jaffe and Dr. Todd Inman. They will move their practice from its current quarters in Vista Medical Terrace on the Northern Nevada Medical Center campus.

"We have had interest from a number of other medical providers who would like to expand their services to Spanish Springs," said John Cassani, one of the physician partners developing the buildings.

Cassani is a Reno family physician with Eastern Sierra Medical Group whose partnership has developed two similar medical buildings in south Reno.

The Northern Nevada Diagnostic Center will offer outpatient diagnostics including x-ray, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound and digital mammography, said Brandt Wright, chief executive officer of NNMC.

Moody Weiske Contractors of Reno will begin construction on the first medical office building in early January.
