Four contractors draw discipline

The Nevada State Contractors Board has disciplined four northern Nevada contractors.

Western State Equipment & Bobcat of Reno surrendered its license after the board found the company violated building laws and failed to establish financial responsibility. The company also was ordered to reimburse investigative costs.

DA Development Inc., of Reno was fined $2,700, ordered to pay investigative costs and ordered to make repairs for a homeowner.

The board said DA Development's workmanship was substandard, and it failed to comply with an order to correct its work.

Superior Concrete of Reno was fined $300, told to pay a subcontractor and required to provide a financial statement prepared by a certified public accountant. The board said the company failed to pay for materials or services.

Michael Coates Drywall was ordered to pay a homeowner $1,420 in restitution before its license can be reactivated. The board said the company's workmanship was substandard. NNBW staff
