Washoe Medical Center's comprehensive stroke center is the first in Nevada and one of 192 nationwide to earn the Gold Seal of Approval for stroke care by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's largest healthcare standards setting and accrediting body.
