AGC sets move to new building

The Nevada Chapter of the Associated General Contractors expects to move into its new office building during the second quarter.

The $2 million, 12,000-square-foot building is under construction in the Dermody Business Park near Mill Street and Corporate Boulevard in Reno.Amtech Construction Corp.

of Reno is general contractor of the project.

The building nearly doubles the space currently occupied by AGC at 500 Ryland St.

The contractors association has sold that building to a Nevada investment firm.

Mike Scolari, president of the association, said the centerpiece of the new building is a training center that can seat 114.

Several modular meeting rooms and larger office spaces also are included.

AGC membership includes more than 300 companies.
