Silver Peak lays expansion plans downtown

Silver Peak Restaurant and Brewery has begun expansion, demolishing the suite to the north, formerly occupied by Very Special Arts, to add an additional 24,000 square feet to its downtown location.

The venue currently seats 75 inside and another 75 when the outside deck is open, says Trent Schmidt, co-owner with David Silverman.

The construction will add about 100 more seats by early spring.

While Schmidt says he has looked at locations for a third Silver Peak, the partners are in no hurry to grow further "unless the right deal comes around."
