Tim Rubald has been promoted to executive director of the Nevada Commission on Economic Development.He previously was director of business development for the agency.
Rubald has been interim director of the Commission on Economic Development since Bob Shriver, its director for eight years, resigned last summer.
He joined the commission's staff in 1998 and also has created a number of businesses in Nevada, including a restaurant and a firewood company.
Rubald's staff of 31 at the commission oversees services that include business development, global trade, procurement outreach and the Nevada Film Office.
