Silver State Tire Co.
of Sparks,which operates five distribution centers in Nevada and northern California,will be acquired by American Tire Distributors Inc.
of Charlotte, N.C.
The company was founded in 1982 by Ed Stocker, who launched a distribution center in Reno.
It now serves 1,250 customers.
American Tire said it expects the deal to close by the end of January.
Terms weren't disclosed.
