Dream Dinners, a franchised store at which consumers prepare dinners in advance for themselves, opens this month at 748 South Meadows Parkway in Reno.
It's owned by Jeannette Albrecht,Angie Finnerty and Sara Shorin of Reno.
Customers select 12 meals from a menu, attend a meal-assembly session at the store at which they scoop uncooked ingredients into cooking pans or storage bags, and take the meals home for refrigerator storage until they're cooked.
Albrecht is the food service director for the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District, Finnerty was an elementary school teacher for 11 years, and Shorin previously worked in marketing for an electric utility in Washington,D.C.
Dream Dinners, based in Snohomish, Wash., has 156 franchised stores in 29 states.
