John McCafferty had been named vice president of product marketing by Reno-based GameTech International, which develops and sells electronic bingo systems.
He previously worked as vice president of operations for Bally Gaming, and also worked in sales and compliance with Aristocrat Inc.
Earlier, Mccafferty worked 19 years with the Oregon State Police.
He has worked as a consultant with GameTech and helped establish its compliance and government affairs department.
McCafferty attended Southern Oregon University.
