Knud Svendsen has been named vice president of sales and marketing position for The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority.
Svendsen previously worked for PCH Hotels & Resorts, Adam's Mark Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels Corp.
and The Continental Companies in sales and marketing capacities.
He also worked for Embassy Suites Resort Lake Tahoe as the director of sales and marketing.
He is a graduate of Purdue University, where he earned bachelor's degrees in hotel/restaurant management and in political science with an emphasis in international relations.
