Morrison University launches new classes

Morrison University, a private school in Reno, has launched a series of non-degree professional development courses.

Subjects include computer application skills as well as a range of leadership and management skills such as communication, negotiation and team-building, said Marie Gibson, an adjunct faculty member who helped design the courses.

She said Morrison University administrators have worked a couple of years to develop the new program.

In part, she said the decision to develop the new programs was spurred by the university's relocation to South Meadows, a site that's more easily accessed from Highway 395 than its former home in downtown Reno.
