The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada last week approved the expansion of Sierra Pacific Power Company's natural gas service territory to encompass more of the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center east of Sparks. The company currently serves natural gas to the initial phase of the development.
The expansion includes 16 square miles in Storey County.
