Pallet maker buys land for plant east of Sparks

Reno High Desert LLC, a manufacturer of industrial wooden pallets, has purchased five acres for a future plant in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.

Although the company has completed preliminary site work, it doesn't have a schedule for construction of a plant, said Steven Vipond, owner of the company based at Puyallup, Wash. He said the plant would serve other companies at the industrial center.
