Q&D Construction of Sparks was low bidder on a Nevada Department of Transportation contract to build an interchange at USA Parkway and Interstate 80 at Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.
The company's bid of $12.7 million was the lowest of three.
The developers of the center will pay most of the cost. The federal and state governments will pay $5 million.
F&P Construction is completing preliminary grading on the project. Construction of the interchange is scheduled to begin in March.
The project includes a bridge over the Truckee River as well as the interchange for the new highway serving the industrial center.
