Stephen Yarrow has been hired as chief financial officer at John Ascuaga's Nugget.
Yarrow previously spent two years teaching algebra and serving as athletic director at St. Theresa Catholic School in South Lake Tahoe after retiring from a 20-year career with Harrah's.
He started as a staff accountant at Harrah's in Atlantic City, and rose to executive positions including general manager of the Harrah's Reno and East Chicago properties and assistant general manager at Lake Tahoe.
Yarrow earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
