State disciplines three contractors

Nevada State Contractors Board has taken disciplinary action against three northern Nevada contractors.

The license of Neuffer Homes & Development of Reno was revoked. The board said the company conducted substandard workmanship, misrepresented a material fact and failed to establish financial responsibility. The company also was ordered to pay investigative costs and restitution to parties it damaged.

Granite Tile & Marble of Sparks was fined $1,850 and ordered to pay investigative costs. The board said Granite Tile conducted substandard workmanship, worked beyond the scope of its license and failed to establish financial responsibility.

Village Builders of Sparks was fined $500 and ordered to pay investigative costs. The company failed to get the necessary building permits, the contractors board said.
