Tye Burt, the president and chief executive officer of Kinross Gold Corp., will be the keynote speaker for the 112th annual meeting of the Northwest Mining Association in Reno Dec. 6-7.
The NWMA Annual Meeting is the second-largest annual mining convention in the United States and the largest annual gathering of the exploration and junior mining sectors in the United States.
Kinross, which has been headed by Burt since 2005, is the operator of one of the largest gold mines in Nevada, the Round Mountain Gold Mine in Nye County.
NWMA is a 111-year-old, 1,300-member non-profit trade association based in Spokane, Wash.
